About Us
Both of us had beloved pets when we were growing up. That experience left us yearning for the unique and wonderful unconditional love and companionship only a dog can provide. After we were married, we tried our hands at the usual range of pets, but had not yet committed to canines.
However, in 1973, we met a terrific gal who needed to re-home one of her Borzoi. They had always been my mythical dream breed. When Ed met the breed he, too, became infatuated. Our journey into the world of dogs inauspiciously began when we adopted this first Borzoi.
Since then we have become involved in showing, racing, lure coursing, breeding and therapy dogs. In 2007, we met our first Silken Windhounds. We were smitten from the beginning. They are the first American sighthound. They are an amazing breed with a sincere zeal for life and a great love of people.
As you go along life's journey, if you are fortunate enough to have the significant great friendship of a loyal, affectionate and loving canine, it surely makes the journey and its challenges more tolerable, peaceful, and enjoyable. We have been so fortunate to experience this great joy.
